The recommended daily intake of water is 8 glasses, and if you are living in hot climate zones or if you are an active person playing sport games and sweating a lot, your body might need more water. Besides if you are overweight, studies have shown that you need to drink an additional 8 ounces of water for every 25 pounds of excess weight. In addition, water also helps to flush out toxins that have been accumulating in your body over a long period of time. It gets rid of all toxins from every corner of your system and helps replenish your body making you feel fresh and even your skin tone will look nicer and more beautiful. As water flushes out impurities in your skins and when your skin cells are well hydrated, you will soon notice a clearer, glowing and radiant skin complexion after a period time making you look younger. Skins that has turned saggy whether due to weight-loss or natural aging, will also become smoother when proper hydration of the skin cells are maintained.

 

Ideal water consumption pattern

Apart from that, also note that drinking too much water over a too short period of time makes no good for your body at all. Too much water that gets into your body are excreted out of the system right away. Instead, you should spread out your water consumption throughout the day preferably by drinking several glasses of water few times a day and sipping some water occasionally in between. The idea is to get yourself properly hydrated over the entire day and try not to drink water only when you feel thirsty. That is because, once you feel thirsty, your body is already dehydrated which is why your body makes you feel thirsty in the first place. Therefore, it would be ideal if you would drink before you start getting thristy.

In fact, you should avoid sodas and other carbonated or sweetened drinks since they usually contain high sugar contents and would carry extra calories which will defeat your purpose of losing weight. So drink plain water whenever possible.

 

Weight loss with water

As you would have already noticed, your appetite will quickly diminished the very instance you drink a glass full of water. The very reason? The water already takes up one-third of the space in your stomach. Therefore, drinking a glass of water before meal would also do wonder and help in your weight loss regime. As with decreased appetite, it can prevent you from over-eating your meal which will ultimately, also contribute to your weight loss.

So, losing weight is just as simple and easy as drinking more water. If you have been doing everything possible and still failed to lose weight, drinking all the water you need might be it.
